2017 Special Training for Employment Program of Cong. Barbers Launched!

August 16, 2017. TESDA Provincial Office under the leadership of OIC-Provincial Director Allan S. Millan in partnership with Congressman Robert Ace Barbers of the 2nd District of Surigao del Norte represented by Ms. Pem Barbers-Bonite, Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology (SNCAT) headed by OIC/VIS III Ms. Ma. Hydee E. Relliquete, Provincial Training Center (PTC) headed by Engr. Edwin C. Lanquino and Livelihood Training & Productivity Center (LTPC) headed by Grace R. Pomoy launched the Orientation Program for 2017 Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) of Cong. Barbers to the selected interested individuals.

The launching of the event is expected to cater 96 individual for the following qualifications:

  1. RAC Servicing (DomRac) NC II – 33 days/25pax
  2. Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I – 26 days/25pax
  3. Prepare and Cook Hot Meals (Leading to Cookery NC II) 28 days/20pax
  4. Perform Manicure and Pedicure (Leading to Beauty Care NC II) 20 days/26pax

Aside from the free training, the trainees will also receive an allowance of 60 pesos per day and starter kits that will help them start their own livelihood.
